The Challenge
A large eastern 3PL transportation company had an inventory management. It was unable
to accurately display available inventory for their key customer and reporting on
a bi-weekly basis, by hand and on paper was time-consuming and prone to error. In
addition inventory was being misplaced in the storage yards caused largely by the
paper-based put-away system. They were unable to accurately track specific lots
against customer orders causing inadequate customer service, loss of business and
profitability.
The Solution
BSCI analyzed their business process needs and provided a total solution comprising
WMS software, modified to the customer's specific business need, hardware and wireless
to provide real-time information. BCSI designed the
network solution, installed the wireless backbone and integrated the WMS software.
BCSI also trained and supported employees in using
the system.

The Challenge
A northwest specialty food distributor with a paper based inventory system was undergoing
rapid growth in a high velocity product in frozen, dry and wet environments and
needed real-time accurate information to fill orders and meet customer expectations.
The Solution
BSCI analyzed their business process needs and provided a total solution comprising
WMS software, modified to the customer's specific business need, hardware and 802.11
network to provide real-time information. BCSI integrated
the advanced warehouse management system, specific to the food industry providing
lot, expiration, product transformation, inventory rotation (FIFO) functionality.
In addition, BCSI bar-coded the entire warehouse and
provided on-site training and on-going support.
